So you’ve scheduled an appointment…here’s what you should expect on your first visit!

  • COMPLETE YOUR NEW PATIENT PAPERWORK

Prior to your visit, you should complete your New Patient Paperwork, which can be found in the contact tab of the website or is emailed to you after you have called to schedule an appointment. The forms can be downloaded, printed, and completed at home, or you can complete them at the office before your appointment.

If you choose to fill out your forms at the office before your appointment, we ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes early to give yourself enough time to complete them. The information that you provide allows gives us a brief overview of your medical history and allows the doctor to formulate an action plan for your treatment.

  • INITIAL CONSULTATION

After being placed in a treatment room, you will discuss your concerns, needs, and goals with a healthcare professional. During this consultation, the doctor will assess all of the symptoms and pain that you present along with your new patient paperwork, and will design a treatment plan that will best suit your diagnosis and needs.

  • X-RAYS, THERAPIES, AND INITIAL EXAM

Once your consultation is complete, some individuals will require diagnostic imaging (x-rays). These images will provide the doctor with a detailed view of your skeletal system which will help to identify any abnormalities and help you to better understand impairments. Following your x-rays, you will receive thermal ultrasound therapy, which uses a wand that causes the skin and the muscles to vibrate and heat up. Ultrasound is an effective way to treat swelling of muscles, joints, and ligaments. Thermal ultrasound therapy is used to treat stretch pain, soft tissue pain, and other musculoskeletal issues.

Following your ultrasound therapy, you will receive your chiropractic adjustment from a healthcare professional that is catered to your needs and goals for your health. You and the doctor will discuss any at home therapies or exercises that would be beneficial in supplementing your adjustment going forward and help to improve your overall health.
